How Mobile Shopping Is Changing How Consumers Buy Your Products

Not only has cell phones changed the way we communicate with each other, they also have changed the way we shop. In the last year, there has been a 120% increase in mobile shopping-related searches. With such a huge percentage of people on their phones these days, here's some things to keep in mind:

1. Most people are now starting their search online instead of going into the store. Those who start online, usually end up actually going to the store to finish their search.

2. "Near me" has become 2.4 times more likely to be added to a search year-over-year. With 50% of consumers visiting a store the same day they do a mobile search, there's a lot of opportunity to generate sales.

3. Because they're not sure if a store has the product they're looking for in stock, 1 in 4 shoppers avoid stores. If you show consumers you do have stock through Local Inventory Ads, you can increase your store visits by 122%.

4. When a shopper does go into a store and find a product they're interested in purchasing, many of them research the product on their phone. By encouraging in-store shoppers to scan products into your app, they can research reviews, rating, and other information that's important to them.

Consumers who have a multichannel shopping experience buy and average of 250% more, according to MasterCard.
