Why You Should NOT Use a Website Builder

Many website builders advertise "Design your website yourself!", "Design your website for FREE!", and "Create your own website. It's easy!" but what they don't tell you is that when you build your own website through them, you are missing a lot of key factors that are extremely important to your website's success. Here are some reasons you should NOT use a website builder, but instead, should let an experienced web designer build one for you. And it's not as expensive as you may think!

• You may be limited to one page. They may tell you that you have multiple pages; however, you most likely only have one. With only one page, Google doesn't have that much content to crawl (click here to find out what "crawling" is). This also limits the amount of page titles, keywords, and meta data that can be indexed into Google. And if you want more than one page you better pay up!

• Your Google Analytics may not be accurate. Google Analytics allows you to track the traffic that comes through your site and see how well it's performing. Many professional website designers give you monthly reports on how your site is doing, whereas building your own site may not offer that service.

• Your website probably looks just like every other similar business who uses a website builder. It's important for your website to stand out from everyone else's and most website builders use templates that are not unique and make your site blend in.

• Your site is not mobile friendly. By having an experienced website designer build your site you have the option for them to create a mobile friendly site. Most internet users are on phones these days. You don't want your site to be hard to navigate on a phone screen.

• Your site is their advertisement. Artists, including website designers, always sign their work. A professional website designer will put "Website by..." at the bottom of their pages; however, creating your website yourself with a website builder gives them the opportunity to scream "CREATE YOUR WEBSITE WITH US! HIRE US FOR FREE!" and who wants that on their page?

• Your options for customer support are usually automated. When you use a website builder you are subject to the run around when seeking customer service. With a website designer it's a more personal experience and you get to talk to a person! WOO HOO!

• Your photos don't show up anywhere else on the internet. So you uploaded a photo of your product to your website for all to see. But not as many people see it as you would like because on your site it's named "image5971856245." That has nothing to do with your image and Google doesn't index it into search because the file name is irrelevant.

• They say it's free, but it's not. They like to advertise "Build your website for FREE!" but what they don't tell you (they don't tell you a lot, huh?) is that they'll let you create it for free, sure, but after you spend all that time and effort creating it and now you want to keep it online... well, here's your expensive bill.

Even though creating your own website through a website builder seems like a great idea, it's not really a benefit to you. By hiring a professional, experienced website designer you are getting a unique website that's going to have much better results for your business. How To Get Up Early

Getting up early is essential to a business owner. The earlier you get up the more time you have to accomplish tasks and goals for the day. However, some people are not morning people and have a hard time being the early bird. Here are some tips for those who struggle in the morning.

• Plan an exciting breakfast to look forward to
• Sleep in total darkness. Melatonine, the sleep hormone, is produced in the dark.
• Schedule your most important plans for the morning so you are excited to get up and do it.
• Turn off the phone (you know why).
• Read a book (not online).
• Drink water before going to bed. It is relaxing and rejuvenating.
• Choose a blanket that keeps you warm. Best sleep is between 62° and 70°F.
• Put the alarm across the room so you can't hit the snooze button.
